2010年获北京师范大学理学博士学位，2015年入选中国科协“青年托举人才”计划，2018-2019年哈佛大学生物与演化学系访问学者。主持国家自然科学基金项目4项，国家重点研发计划课题1项。承担动物学、鸟类学、分子生态学等课程。在《PNAS》、《Ecology Letters》、《Molecular Ecology》、《Evolution》和《生物多样性》等期刊发表文章60余篇。担任《Avian Research》、《Integrative Zoology》等期刊编委，兼任中国动物学会副秘书长、中国动物学会鸟类学分会副秘书长和北京动物学会副秘书长。获北京市自然科学奖一等奖（2023，排名第3）、北京市高等教育教学成果二等奖（2025，排名第3）、郑作新鸟类科学青年奖和北京师范大学教学名师奖等荣誉。多次指导本科生获得全国大学生生物竞赛一等奖。
1. 鸟类与病原体的协同演化：基于One Health框架，以禽流感和鸟类血孢子虫等病原体为研究体系，开展鸟类宿主-病原体的多样性时空格局及生态与演化机制研究，关注全球变化和人类活动对人兽共患病传播风险及生物多样性的影响机制。
2. 鸟类的羽色与物种形成：以鸡形目、雀形目等性二色鸟类为研究体系，开展分子生态学与演化基因组学研究，解析物种形成过程中羽色等关键表型分化的生态过程与遗传机制。同时开展濒危鸟类的保护遗传学研究。
